The Great And Traditionally Irish Stew

The Great And Traditionally Irish Stew made with mutton, older sheep but more often nowadays, is made with lamb which may seem a little of a waste but the flavor is amazing. 

 

Ingredients

Ingredients Qt
Meat  7 pcs
Chopped potato  1 pcs
Chopped onion  1 pcs
Chopped carrot  1 pcs
Oatmeal  100 gr
Parsley  50 gr
Turmeric  required an amount
Salt and pepper  required an amount
Oil  required an amount

Preparation

Step 1: Pour some oil in a pan and start to saute the onions.

Add meats and saute with onions.

Step 2: Pour turmeric and other spices, add carrots.

Step 3: Pour enough water and at the end oatmeal and potatoes.

Let it cook over medium heat for 1 hour.

As an Irish person, I was a regular ‘user’. I still need my fix. Beef was the norm though, never lamb or mutton in our household, and it was heavier with potatoes and carrots. It was a staple of school meals also. I like the way your presentation looks.
