Spanish meat and mushroom pie ( Empanadas )
Enjoy dinner tonight with this delicious Spanish meat and mushroom pie ( Empanadas ) , hearty ground beef and Gouda cheese that are baked not fried. A pie is a baked dish which is usually made of dough casing that covers or completely contains a filling of various sweet ingredients.
Step1: Add some salt to the flour and pour it in a bowl.
Add butter and mix with flour then stir with your hand.
Step 2: Pour yolk in the mixture, pour milk and knead the paste with your hand.
Put the paste in refrigerator for 1 hour.
|Chopped mushroom||1/2 glass|
|Minced onion||1 pcs|
|Gouda cheese||4 sheets|
|Tomato paste||1 tbsp|
|Ground beef||300 gr|
|Thyme||the required amount|
|Salt and pepper||the required amount|
Step 1: Heat the oil in a pan over medium heat and start to saute the onions.
Add ground beef and mushrooms and saute.
Step 2: Add spices and tomato paste and stir the mixture well.
Step 3: Knead the paste with rolling pin then put the paste in a baking dish.
Rub the mayonnaise on the paste. Add the meat mixture.
Cover the paste with Gouda cheese and put a layer of paste.
Heat the oven on 300 degrees F and cook for 25 minutes.
