Gheyme with potato and eggplant

It is a meat and split pea which is very traditional and popular Iranian food. That is served with rice. Here we have easy recipe for this food that you can cook and enjoy.

 

Ingredients

Ingredients Qt
Meat  300 gr
Split pea  1/4 glass
Potato  1 pcs
Fried onion  2 tbsp
Eggplant  1 pcs
Tomato paste  1 tbsp
Cinnamon  1 tsp
Dried lemon  1 pcs
Salt and pepper  required amount

Preparation

Step 1: Pour some oil in a pot and saute meat and onion. Add tomato paste and split peas with turmeric and saute well for 2-3 minutes.

 

Step 2: Pour in enough water to cover the mixture. Bring it to a boil on high heat for a couple of minutes. Then lower the heat, cover the lid and cook on medium to low heat for 1.5 hours.

 

Step 3: Add dried limes to the pot and let it cook for 30 minutes.

 

Step 4: Fried potato and eggplant and serve it with your food.
