The Persian Stuffed grape leaves (Dolmeh)

The Persian Stuffed grape leaves (Dolmeh) are very popular Iran.  Persian grape leaves are usually stuffed with minced beef and rice. I have always loved stuffed grape leaves and have fond memories of my grandmother making huge pots of it.


Ingredients Qt
Cooked rice  1/2 glass
Cooked split peas  1/4 glass
Flavor vegetable  1/4 glass
Fried onion  1 tbsp
Minced meat  150 gr
Grape leaf  100 gr
Salt and turmeric the required amount


Step 1: Pour oil in a pan, chop onions and put in a pan with minced meat and start to saute.

Step 2: Add rice, vegetables and split. Stir and saute well.

Step 3: Place 1tbsp of the meat and rice mixture on the top of the leaf and close the leaf sides.

Step 4: Let it cook for 1 hour on medium heat.
