Little Homemade Turkish Burek Recipe
Probably one of the most loved foods from the Balkans. There are two ways to create burek: with homemade dough or with fillo dough (pre-made store-bought). In this recipe we will be using the pre-made fillo dough. You can put potatoes, meat, spinach, boiled cabbage, or feta cheese inside! This one will be with feta cheese. Truly a tasty meal! And very easy to make! Eat with yogurt for authenticity.
|Fillo dough||1 package|
|Boiled potato||3 pcs|
|Cream cheese||100 gr|
|Pizza cheese||100 gr|
|Salt and pepper||the required amount|
Step 1: Pour some oil in a pan, chopped the onion and pour in the pan then sauté.
Step 2: At first mash potatoes then mix onions with potatoes.
Add cream cheese and pizza cheese.
Mix salt and pepper.
Step 3: Mash all together then pour them into dough and roll it up.
Step 4: Cut the roll to small pieces. Spread yolk on the pieces with brush.
Preheat oven to 200 C degrees and bake burek for 40 minutes in oven until golden brown.
