Baklava

 

Baklava is a rich, sweet dessert pastry made of layers of filo filled with chopped nuts and sweetened and held together with syrup or honey.

It is such a dessert of passion. The passion it takes to make it, enjoying the sweet taste with each bite, makes it a dessert that is one of a kind.

 

Nectar ingredients

Ingredients Qt
Rose water  1/2 cup
Brewed saffron  4 tbsp
Water  One and half a cup
Sugar  3 cup
Lime juice  1 tsp

Preparation

Step 1: Pour sugar, water, rose water, saffron and lime juice in a pot.

Place the pot on the oven and stir the ingredients. Let it boil.

Baklava ingredients

Butter  150 gr
Sugar powder  2 tbsp
Cardamom powder  1 tbsp
Cinnamon powder  1 tsp
Grinded pistachio  1 cup
Grinded almond  1 cup
Filo pastry  1 package

Preparation

Step 1: Pour grinded almond in a bowl, then add cinnamon, cardamom and sugar powder and stir all together with spoon.

Step 2: Greasy the mold with a brush, put a filo layer in the mold and spread the oil on it.

Put 5 filo layers and spread oil.

Step 3: Pour the materials then add 5 filo layers,

then pour pistachio on the filo and put 5 filo layers on it.

Again pour the material and put the last layer of filo.

Preheat the oven 180 C and let it cook in low flame in 15 minutes then cook in high flame in 3 minutes.
